- Revised weapon options and costs for Priestesses.
- Piranha Warriors are Ambushers.
- Huntresses are WS3, 12 pts.
- Culchan Riders and Terradon Riders are WS4, BS4.
- Fixed bug with Cold One, Huntress champion, Culchan champion, jungle stalker and Terradon champion Attacks value.
- Gorols 30 pts.
- Edited the cover to remove the "rollerskate"-looking sandals.
As I have not gotten the last new special character for Albion finished yet, I have been working on the Amazons in the meantime, which went by fairly quickly (despite having to re-do nearly the whole layout because of some section issues in the document). No huge changes here, mostly some pts drops and equipment option changes. Might go back to them later and add more things like automatons or something like that in the future.
- Amazon Warriors 4 pts, have shields by default.
- Piranha Warriors do not have the Scouts rule, 6 pts.
- Jungle Stalkers have the Scouts rule, can fire MS(2) even when moving, 11 pts.
- Eagle Warriors have Ld7, cannot take light armour, 6 pts.
- Cold One riders can choose spears or Claw of the Ones, no longer mandatory. No longer forest striders, 20 pts.
- Terradons are cavalry, cause Fear.
- Huntresses 13 pts, start with spears, can swap for javelins or short bows, cheaper shield upgrade.
- Jaguar Hunting Packs 7 pts, have the mixed units special rule. Beastmaster does not have javelins.
- Koka-kalim 8 pts.
- Jaguar Warriors are not Ambushers, 8 pts.
- Azura has Immunity (Psychology) instead of Stubborn, 190 pts.
- Pentheselia has Frenzy instead of Savage Fury, no light armour, 150 pts.
- Melandra does not have light armour, 105 pts.
- Culchan riders start with spears, can swap for javelins or shortbows, BS3, no longer forest striders, 14 pts.
- Terradon Riders may have poisoned javelins.
- Fixed some repetition in the main lore, added new lore to the main background.
- Some new art (includes new page backgrounds which makes the text in front easier to read).
- A few minor bug fixes.
- Added headings.
- Added version number.
Hope you enjoy it! Albion will be out fairly soon, followed by Araby.
-I think the Serpent Priestess (and by relation Lwaxana) should be WS5 since the Serpent Priestess and Preistess are battlemages of sort. Also, the Priestess should be BS3 and their Sunstaff and Sun Gauntlet options should be mutually exclusive.
ReplyDelete-Not even Elven infantry have Swiftstride. Maybe reduce the cost of Eagle Warriors by 1pt and remove Swiftstride.
-Is there any particular reason why the Beastmaster of the Jaguar Hunting Pack aren't riding a Jaguar themselves like the Hunting Hounds of the Cult of Ulric?
-Since Jaguar Warriors have had their Ambushers special rule removed (which makes sense to me), maybe Piranha Warriors could choose to have it to compensate.
-I think Culchan Riders and Terradon Riders should be WS4, BS4 and Cold One Riders BS5. It doesn't make much sense that they are lesser or equal fighters to the Huntresses since Huntresses and core and the other 3 are rare and special.
- Serpent Priestesses have always had WS4 in their official rules, which is already better than most normal wizards (the same as truthsayers). Will adjust weapon options and costs.
Delete- Well, the whole Albion has swiftstride when charging, so that's not saying much. It's one thing that makes them stand out a bit from the other warriors.
- Most beastmasters are on foot, the cult of ulric is an exception to that. It does not matter anyway due to the mixed units rule.
- I'd be okay with that.
- I'd rather make Huntresses WS3 in that case (being their core light cavalry anyway). Culchan Riders are not really more skilled than Huntresses though (though I could make it so in the fluff ofc). Cold One Riders were WS4 in their official rules. Could bump Terradon riders to BS4.
Umm... excuse my ignorance, where is the download link? Do I have to be a patreon or something?

Regarding Magic, Some lores of magic don't have an official name, or a signature spell or lore attribute. Or at least, could not tell on the wiki. Witchraft, for example, could be 'lore of witchcraft'. Perhaps the 'lore of the elements' for Elementalism. There are also Lesser Spells and Battle Magic mentioned in the Wiki and RPG. Arcane Marks are also a thing among the colleges. Daemonologist Warlocks have a unique magic that isn't quite the same as Chaos Sorcerers. "Lore of Daemons'? Dark Emissaries have a few unique spells courtesy of Bel'akor. "Lore of the Dark Master"? "Lore of Dark Shadows"? Magickers are self-taught wizards and are not Hedgefolk. Who knows what they use. Maybe Elementalism or Hedgecraft. The Lore of Hedgecraft is a bit tricky to figure out. List of Spells are on the wiki, but effects are not described. The Wiki provides the sources. Hope you have better luck researching this when you cover the Border Princes and College of Magic codex.
ReplyDeleteDon't think all lores need a "lore of necessarily", at least not if just makes it sound weird. Will probably look into these other lores when I get around to it an expansion, yes.
DeleteAlright. Good luck in researching those forms of magic. By the way, after you are done updating the army books, what book will you do next? The champions of Chaos? Or perhaps Nagash? The Gnoblars? The Vampire coast? You have a lot of options.
ReplyDeleteYou can see in the predicted release order what books to expect ;)
DeleteMathias, are you gonna reupload the Amazons codex with the bugs reported in the Discord channel before the release of Albion?
ReplyDeleteWe'll see, right now I'm holding off on the Amazon book while waiting to see what Titan-Forge will have in store with their Amazons.
DeleteAlbion is also nearly finished, but might get another new unit that needs lore made for it first. In the meantime I am working on the Araby book.
*with the bugs fixed
ReplyDeleteWill there be an update to the 8th edition books as well?
ReplyDeleteYes, eventually. I want to finish up all the bugs in 9th ed first, then 8th ed will get its updated Ravening Hordes lists.
