Development Update: Chaos Dwarfs

Yes, Chaos Dwarfs are on the table! Like I did with the last Nippon update, I'm going to keep you up to date with the progress on the book so you can have an idea of when it's getting close to completion. As such, here's the status on each section of the book at the moment.

Contents/Credits - done.
History - done.
Society  - done.
Geography - done.
Bestiary - done.
Special Characters -  done.
Lore of Hashut - done.
Magic Items - done.
Army list - done
Reference - done

Update: Having finished the bestiary and whatnot which is the main part, I might actually be able to get the book out this weekend. Will try to finish up the background section tomorrow and the army list on Saturday, and probably finish the whole thing up on Sunday. No promises though, I have some work for university that needs to be done as well after all

Update 2: Been working on the list for most of the day (which is actually a nice break from the last weeks of partying) and gotten more done than expected. Army list is now finished, and so is most of the background section. Will finish up the history section tomorrow, just needs to decide upon which part of their origin story I will go with, or perhaps leave it "mysterious" as GW have done. Unless I'll die from fatigue (easily solved by buying pizza!), I might have the list out by tomorrow night!

  1. @ Balseraph - I will hopefully finish it in February. Just refer to this blog post and you will see when it comes to closer to completion.

Though I will keep eating and sleeping as normal thank you very much, otherwise the quality of the book would probably suffer quite a bit ;)

  2. Just out of curiosity, why do a Chaos Dwarf book considering that we have the Tamurkhan book from Forge World?

    1. This is pretty much an extension of the Tamurkhan book. I wasn't originally going to do one, but people have been emailing me asking me for it, so I figured: why not?

All units from Tamurkhan will be present, but it will also add a bunch of new units as well as a ton of background to allow players to have a more complete Chaos Dwarf army that still follows the official rules.

    2. Oh, that's a cool way to do it. I was thinking maybe it was going to be totally different from the list in Tamurkhan.

    3. Well, had Tamurkhan never been made, it certainly would have! Then it would have primarily been based on the old Chaos Dwarf book from 5th ed. This one I'm aiming more for the current version so it will have less Hobgoblins and hats, and more engines of "DOOOOM!".

    1. You can technically "like" it with google+, so it's there ;)
