Spring Sale 2020!

Time to sell some stuff I don't need so I can buy more stuff I don't need! Items include Bretonnians, Norse, Dwarfs and the odd halfling and goblin (as well as a ton of ASOIAF models). A smaller selection than last year, but hopefully something of interest to some of you.


Oh, and Zombie Pirates of the Vampire Coast will likely be out sometime in June, I'm on a rules-writing break for a few weeks first.

Warhammer: Magic Items 9th Ed Beta out now!

This book contains all Magic Items created by GW and featured in the 6th and 7th Ed army books, as well as Warhammer Chronicles and Expansions.

As some of these items currently have the same or very similar effects as several main rulebook items, I'm open to suggestions how to make them different. For the beta version, I've mainly just focused on compiling everything, though you will notice that some items has changed slightly for balance and usability. So while everything here should be playable, it should by no means be considered finished.

Note that magic items that already belong to Special Characters or are in the main rulebook are not featured here. In case you think a Magic Item is missing, I recommend you check it's not elsewhere in the army book or the main rulebook first. For Warriors of Chaos, many missing items will instead appear in the Special Characters book.

Once the 1.0 version is ready for release, I will decide whether to keep the magic items in a separate book, or implement all Magic Items in the separate army books like in 6th and 7th ed.

Wood Elves 9th Ed 1.21 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Waystalkers do not have Traps.
  • Cheaper musicians for fast cavalry.
  • Tree Revenants are WS5, cost 13 pts.
  • Spite Revenants have the Hatred rule in each round of combat, cost 12 pts.
  • Great Bow: Longbow. A Great Bow has a range of 36" and Strength 5. Any shots made with it has the Magical Attacks special rule.
  • Warhawk mount costs 30 pts for lords, 20 pts for heroes.
  • Unicorn costs 50 pts, have W2.
  • Added upgrades to Great Eagle
  • Ancient Treeman has WS5, BS5, A4, cost 270 pts.
  • Madrigal of Greening has a range of 12".
  • The Spirit Sword applies to all single model units, not just monsters.
  • Hail of Doom Arrow can be taken by Waystalkers, but it cannot be used with the Sniper rule.
  • Fixed a few bugs.

Warriors of Chaos 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Daemonic models that are not mounts have Immunity (Poisoned Attacks).
  • Daemon Princes cause Terror.
  • Hellshriek: All enemy Wizards within 18" must immediately roll 2D6 on the Miscast table.
  • Cheaper musicians for fast cavalry.
  • Slaughterpriest may ride a Warshrine of Khorne.
  • Marauder Chariot crew can take light armour as a 5 pt option.
  • Fixed bug with Varanguard missing lances.

Vampire Counts 9th Ed 1.23 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Hellsteed has W2, A2. Costs 20 pts for Heroes.
  • Sylvanian Peasant Levy may take shields and spears for 2 pts per model.
  • Battle of Wills has no effect against models with Immunity (Psychology).

Tomb Kings 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • If, at the start of any of your turns following the death of the Hierophant, there is one or more friendly Wizard Characters on the table who know spells from the Lore of Nehekhara, then one of these models may be designated the new Hierophant by passing a Leadership test.
  • Entombed Beneath the Sands: If the marker is under an enemy unit, you may place your unit into base contact with the enemy unit in any arc of your choosing; your unit will counts as charging this turn.
  • Cheaper musicians throughout.
  • Tomb Barques have a 5+ save total with light armour. Cost 125 pts.
  • Khemric Titan's Devouring Jaws attack: The Khemric Titan inflicts a Strength 6 hit with the Heroic Killing Blow special rule on all enemy models in base contact.
  • Khsar's Incantation of the Desert Wind: Boosted version no longer only targets unengaged units.
  • Fixed bug where Tomb Prince could take 100 pts of items instead of 50 pts.

Warhammer Skaven 9th Ed 1.53 out now!

This update changes the following: 
  • A War-litter should be placed on a 40x40mm base, and adds +4 to the Unit Strength of any model mounted on them.
  • Warp-blades is a polearm.
  • Warpforged Blade is a hand weapon.
  • Clarified which Clan Gear is One per model only.
  • Magic Resistance can be used against Crack's Call.
  • Stickypaws lasts until the caster's next Magic phase.

Warhammer: Orcs and Goblins 9th Ed 1.23 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Goblin Wolf Riders cost 9 pts (-1 pt), can choose spears, shields and shortbows in any combination, but must pick at least one.
  • Forest Goblin Shamans may re-roll one dice (except 1's) when casting spells. However, if they roll a miscast, they will also count as having failed a Stupidity test (if they survive).
  • Cheaper musicians for fast cavalry.
  • Orc Boar Chariot has Natural Armour (6+) and light armour, total save still 4+.
  • Goblin Wolf Chariot has light armour, total save still 5+.
  • Nigh Goblin Squig Gobba has range 36".
  • Updated giant rules.
  • Mawcrusher cost 250 pts (+30 pts).
  • Curse of da Spider God: The target unit must re-roll successful To Hit rolls (in shooting and close combat) and armour saves until the start of the caster's next Magic phase.

Warhammer: Ogre Kingdoms 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Butchers cannot take ironfists.
  • A Hunter (including Jhared) with a mount loses his Scouts special rule.
  • Leadbelchers suffer move and fire penalties as normal, cost 40 pts.
  • Maneaters are BS4, same as the DoW book.
  • Maneaters cannot take shields (since this would cause issues with armour saves against missiles for a mixed unit).
  • Rhinox War Chariot has light armour and Natural Armour (5+) for a 3+ save total. Only inflicts D6 hits.
  • Ironblaster has light armour and Natural Armour (5+) for a 3+ save total, cost 180 pts.
  • Scraplauncher has Natural Armour (5+) for a 4+ save total, cost 135 pts.
  • Skewerslinger has Natural Armour (5+) for a 4+ save total, cost 95 pts.
  • Snowstorm is an augment spell.
  • Gnoblars have the Expendable special rule. In addition, even other Gnoblars treat them as being Expendable.
  • Each enemy unit that successfully charges the Gnoblar Trappers front must take D3 Dangerous Terrain tests for each Trapper as soon as the charge is completed, to represent the various traps set in front of the unit.
  • Updated Giant and Ice Mammoth rules.
  • Big Names and Magic Items share the same pool.
  • Mawseeker costs 15 pts.
  • Kineater: Any friendly unit within 12" of a Kineater roll 3D6 for their Panic tests and discards the highest dice rolled.
  • Bullgorger and Bonecrusher have switched places in the lore of the Great Maw.
  • The Maw spell: If a misfire is rolled, centre the template on the caster and roll a scatter dice and a D6. The template moves the number of inches equal to the result of the D6, in the direction shown on the scatter dice (if you roll a Hit!, use the little arrow shown on the Hit! symbol).
  • Hellheart: All enemy Wizards within 12" of the bearer must roll 2D6 on the Miscast table.

Warhammer: Lizardmen 9th Ed 1.23 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Nakai has the Predatory Fighter rule.
  • Clarified that Tetto'eko has the Comet of Casandora.
  • Clarified that Ark of Sotek and Giant Bow are part of the monsters' equipment, not the crew.
  • Arcane Unforging does not apply to natural armour.
  • Cheaper musicians for Horned One Riders.
  • Slann may take Disciplines of the Old Ones up to a total of 100 pts.

Note that due to a save issue, my original file had not been saved since v.1.2, so I had to redo all changes from then up to 1.23. As such, be aware that it might contain some bugs that were previously fixed, though I have tried to catch them all.

Warhammer: High Elves 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Elven Bows follow the rules for Bows. Elven Longbows follow the rules for Longbows. All shots with these weapons have the Armour Piercing (1) special rule.
  • Frostheart Phoenix have ice attacks instead of aura. Costs 245 pts.
  • Arcane Unforging does not apply to natural armour.
  • Lion Chariots have Lion Cloaks.
  • Lothern Skycutter has a 4+ save total, cost 100 pts.
  • Bow of Averlorn: Longbow. All shots with this weapon are resolved at Strength 4 with the Armour Piercing (1) and Magical Attacks special rules.
  • Cheaper musicians for Reaver Knights. More expensive equipment options (on par with Dark Riders).
  • Silver Helms cost 22 pts.
  • Dragon Princes cost 28 pts.
  • Unicorns gain +1 Strength to their Impact Hits, not +1S to their attacks.
  • Unicorn 50 pts.
  • Pegasus costs 40 pts for heroes.
  • Added upgrades for griffon and great eagle.
  • Updated timeline with Imperial dates, and many fixes for wrong years by GW. Thanks to Wells on the Discord who has helped out this this for all the three Elf books!

Warhammer: The Empire 9th ed 1.22 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Steam Tank Commander has a repeater pistol, not a handgun.
  • Cheaper musicians for fast cavalry.
  • Balthasar Gelt costs 350 pts.
  • Imperial Pegasus costs 30 pts for lords, 20 pts for heroes.
  • Fixed bug with wrong pts cost for equipment for Generals and Captains.

Knightly Orders updated to 1.12:
  • Knights of the Sacred Scythe have Immunity (Fear).

Warhammer: Dwarfs 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Resolute: When taking Break tests, models with this rule count as having lost the combat with 1 point less than they actually have. 
  • Gromril armour is a special rule, not equipment.
  • Oathstones give MR(1). However, if a model on an Oathstone fails a Break Test, he is removed as a casualty.
  • Clarified that Armour Piercing from multiple Runesmiths in a unit does not stack.
  • Runelords costs 120 pts. 
  • Anvil of Doom now works more like a regular War Machine with T10. Crew can be killed separately, does not give +2 Wounds to the Runelord, but grants a 4+ ward save instead. It may use up to 4 Power Dice when attempting to cast each spell. 
  • Locus of Power: For each friendly Anvil of Doom on the battlefield at the start of any Magic phase, add one dice to both your power and your dispel pool.
  • Rune of Hearth and Hold makes one unit Stubborn, or Unbreakable if it is already Stubborn.
  • Renamed Rune of Oath and Steel to Stone and Steel.
  • Added Rune of Oath and Honour: The Rune of Oath and Honour is an augment spell that targets a single friendly Dwarf unit anywhere on the battlefield. The target unit may immediately make an additional move as if were the Remaining Moves sub-phase.
  • Added separate entries for Anvil of Doom and Shieldbearers in army list.
  • Quarrellers and Thunderers may take medium armour.
  • Clarified that the Brewmaster's Beer Casks rule affects both him and his unit.
  • Clarified that Steam gun and Clattergun are equipment of the Gyrocopter, not the crew (so they cannot fire 360 degrees).
  • You may take 0-2 Gyrocopters as a single Rare choice.
  • Thorek costs 330 pts.
  • Kadrin Redmane costs 175 pts.
  • Josef Bugman has the Beer Gut special rule, costs 185 pts.

Warhammer: Dogs of War 9th Ed 1.14 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Dwarfs hate Hobgoblins. When taking Break tests, they count as having lost the combat with 1 point less than they actually have.
  • Lucrezzia Belladonna has the The Best Money Can Buy special rule.
  • Net Fighters: When it is their turn to attack, roll a D6 for each model armed with nets. On a 2+, one enemy model in base contact is ensnared and suffers -1 Attack (both rider and mount) for the remainder of the close combat phase.
  • The Crest of Mydas: Mydas and all models in the same unit gains the Magical Attacks special rule. In addition, enemy models must re-roll successful Ward Saves caused by close combat attacks from the unit.
  • Pegasus costs 30 pts for lords, 20 pts for heroes.
  • Griffon costs 150 pts.
  • Updated Giant rules.
  • New magic standard; Eagle Banner, replaces Standard of Miragliano. Enemies can never get the Outnumber, Flank or Rear combat resolution bonus against the unit carrying this banner.

Regiments of Renown 1.13: 
  • Tichi-Huichi's raiders have Natural Armour (6+), so they can use their fast cavalry rule. 
  • Updated Dwarf rules.
  • Updated Giant rules.

Dark Elves 9th Ed 1.33 out now!

This update changes the following: 
  • Clarified that the Cloak of Twilight only works against enemy spells and missile attacks.
  • Scourgerunner Chariot costs 80 pts.
  • Impale: Dark Pegasi gain +1 Strength to their Impact Hits. Cost 20 pts for heroes, 30 pts for lords.
  • Morathi costs 355 pts.
  • Cheaper musicians for Dark Riders.
  • Clarified that Hellebron is a Hag Queen.
  • Updated timeline with Dark Elf dates.

Deamons of Chaos 9th Ed 1.23 out now!

This update changes the following: 
  • Daemon Princes, Be'lakor and Syll'Esske cause Terror. Slightly more expensive armour for Daemon Princes.
  • Clarfied that Skull Cannon weapon is part of the chariot, not the crew's equipment.
  • Soul Hunger and Spirit Swallower have no effect against Animated Constructs.
  • Iridescent Corona costs 20 pts.
  • Cheaper musicians.
  • Plague Toads have A3, Marsh Strider rule. Cost 31 pts. Pox Riders cost 37 pts.

Warhammer Chaos Dwarfs 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

Updated to 1.23:
  • Bull Centaurs are Cavalry.

This update changes the following:
  • Resolute: When taking Break tests, models with this special rule count as having lost the combat with 1 point less than they actually have.

Warhammer Cathay 9th Ed 1.13 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • You may take 1-2 units of Field Engineers with different equipment as a single Special choice.
  • Sky Rocket minimum range is 6".
  • Fire Bomb range is 6".
  • Dragon's Breath follow the rules for fire throwers, cost 30 pts. (max 2 per unit)
  • Hand Mortar is no longer a war machine, is 50 pts per model. (max 2 per unit).
  • Brush of a Thousand Years: clarified that double 1's do not count towards Ultimate Power.
  • Cheaper musicians for fast cavalry
  • Call of the Dragon is a direct damage spell.

Warhammer: Bretonnia 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Cheaper musicians for Mounted Yeomen.
  • Magic Resistance can be used against Spiteful Glance.
  • Unicorn costs 45 pts.
  • Royal Pegasus costs 30 pts for Lords, 20 pts for Heroes. 
  • Royal Hippogryph's Swooping Strike upgrade costs 10 pts, Bloodrage costs 30 pts. 
  • Added back option for standard bearer and musician for Grail Pilgrims.

Warhammer Beastmen 9th Ed 1.34 out now!

Updated to 1.36:
  • Note that your Army General must deploy normally (so Gorthor and Khazrak cannot Ambush, like in 6th ed).
  • Added Ambushers to shamans, including special characters.
  • Updated bray-scream, is now a direct damage spell like other similar spells.
  • Clarified that Hurl Attack cannot be used when charging and is Slow to Fire.
 
Updated to 1.35:
  • Beastmen Ambush: Models with this rule have the Ambushers special rule, though this is lost if they have any kind of mount. In addition, they add +1 to any rolls to determine whether or not they enter the table when using the Ambushers special rule. Added this rule to Gorthor.
  • Preyton is S5. Forest Stalker upgrade cost 5 pts.

This update changes the following:
  • Mark of Nurgle: Models with this Mark add +1 to their Toughness but suffer -2 to their Initiative. Updated points cost in the army list.
  • Mark of Tzeentch: Models with the Mark of Tzeentch have the Magic Resistance (1) and Ward save (6+) special rules. Updated points cost in the army list.
  • Beastlords, Wargors and Centigors are Ambushers.
  • Cygor has T6, W6, A3, cost 180 pts. Hurl attack is 24".
  • Jabberslythe can take upgrade options to gain +1 A and/or the ambushers rule.
  • Slicing Shards spell no longer requires the test to be taken on unmodified leadership.
  • Slug-skin: All enemy models in base contact with the model at the start of any round of close combat suffer a Strength 2 hit with the Poisoned Attacks special rule. Costs 10 pts.
  • Added Redmaw as an option to Khazrak.

Warhammer: Araby 9th Ed 1.23 out now!

Updated to 1.24:
  • Quicksand includes natural armour again.

This update changes the following:
  • Quicksand excludes natural armour. Models without armour counts as passing on a 6. This spell has no effect on models with the Fly, Ethereal or Strider special rules.
  • Bladedancers have A1, cost 11 pts.
  • Flying Carpets inflict D3 hits each, not D6.
  • Blade of Holy Wrath costs 60 pts.
  • Cheaper musicians for fast cavalry.
  • Genies are not characters. Clarified that they may act normally on the turn they are summoned. Lowered the casting values of their spells.
  • Hashishin costs 100 pts.
  • Malik Ibn La'Ahad costs 195 pts.

Warhammer: Amazons 9th Ed 1.12 out now!

This update changes the following:
  • Added Guerilla Tactics army special rule.
  • Skypiercer: The arrows penetrates ranks like a bolt thrower, but does not suffer any Strength penalties for each rank. Cost 25 pts.
  • Clarified that the Bright Staff is a sunstaff.
  • Piranha Warrior champion has B4 instead of A2. May take shields.
  • Added Terradon as a mount to characters.
  • Kokakalim has T4, cost 10 pts.
  • Eagle Warriors are BS4, more expensive missile options.
  • Cheaper musicians for fast cavalry.

Note that Amazons will get a larger update later on with more units.
