Warhammer: Zombie Pirates of the Vampire Coast 9th Ed 1.0 out now!

Been a fairly long time in the making, but I have finally finished the stand-alone expansion for the Zombie Pirates. At 40 pages, it contains what available lore on the Vampire Coast exists from the original White Dwarf list, as well as nearly all units from Warhammer: Total War II.

I have kept most of the rules fairly simple, so don't expect a ton of unique special rules for every unit; it's mainly intended to be an update of the 6th ed list with some new toys to play around it. Also note that the Lore of the Deep will be replacing the current Lore of Stromfels for the Pirates of Sartosa.

Hope you enjoy it!

NOTE: This is a smaller army list, not a complete army book. I will also be redoing the layout for the bestiary to make it more similar to the other army books.

  1. Quick Question: are Zombie Pirates force of Destruction or Non-Aligned Force?

  2. Glad to see that the Pirates of Luther Harkon have made it. I don't know if the Lore of the Deep fit the Pirates of Sartosa, but if it works. Good luck on future books, and stay safe out there.

    1. The Lore of the Deep and the Lore of Stromfels are the same thing, that's why Sartosa will also get it.

  4. Hello Mathias, I really love all your hardwork. Can't we include necromancers, like in the fluff as seafaring necromancers (all power levels) and what about some von carstein or blood dragon vampire powers?

    1. Necromancers have never been part of the Vampire Coast lore-wise. Vampiric powers are likely not intended to be included, but you could always houserule it if you want.

    2. Thanks for the reply, I was interested about your opinion on this. Two other questions rose up: 1. When Harkon is on his last wound shouldn't he get Regeneration, like in the 6th Edition list from chronicles? 2. What is his starting personality? 3. What about including Mournghouls as Elite and Terrorghasts as Rare Units? Looking forward to your other projects, great fan. PS:Please update the homemade Dogs of War units, my dwarves want to ride again on threir ponies:)

  5. Hi. Great list. Can I have some clarification. The Generals of the Undead states: Your army's General must be a Wizard. But Harkon is not listed as a wizard. Does this mean he cannot be the armies general?

  6. Another question. The points cost for the Damned crew and the Verminous crew, do they go against the points allocation for heroes or can they be used against core? I'm assuming heroes but checking to be sure.
