  1. I thought we were having steam clams.

  2. -The 'Old Reliable' variant, despite saying that it's Volley Gun is steam-powered, does not require any Steam Points to fire the Volley Gun, perhaps it can have up to three steam points expended on it, each one increasing the number of Artillery Dice rolled to determine the number of shots.

Is the intent for Old Reliable's volley gun to be able to fire multiple times if multiple steam point are expended, in a high-risk high-reward gamble?

    2. It cannot fire more than one salvo currently, but feel free to houserule being able to fire 3 at once if you wish! :)

  3. The Von zeppel has 6 crew, not five. Plus presumably one lurking in the bowels of the machine driving it who doesn’t count on the rules/ stats.
    Really appreciate the landship’s inclusion.
Now we just need to add all the other engineering school’s options. Engineer variants, clockwork knights, technicians, rocketeers etc :-)

  4. How the Mishap tables work? I'm but confused as they don't roll a D6 nor 2D6.

    1. If the result is greater than the Steam Tank's current number of Wounds, or if you roll a misfire:

Roll a D3 and then, for each Steam Point the Steam Tank currently has, add 1 to the result and consult the Steam Boiler Mishap table.

So you roll D3 and add the steam points.

    2. Thanks, that worked. Brilliant work by the way. I'm using your rule set and books to do fantasy in 10mm.

  7. Excellent work!!!! Warhammer fantasy word is growing again because of you.

Is there any posible to include a cover page in steam tank expansion like knights orders?

    1. I considered it, but there is sadly no steam tank art in the "portrait" format. Compared to the Knightly Orders as well, it's a really short expansion, more akin to what you might find in a White Dwarf article.

    2. could you not just crop one of the landscape ones?

    3. It's not that simple as the pictures don't have enough blank space to fit the text in without covering the image, so it won't look very pretty.

this fhoto adding a simple portrait maybe it could work

  9. Why only for the 9th Age and not for the 8th Edition?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. It's for 9th Edition, not 9th Age. The reason being it requires too much work and hardrive space to keep making all books for both versions of the game. The rules can very easily be adapted for 8th ed though, there's very little difference between them in the army books themselves.

  10. Excellent work, as usual !

Anyway, what is the best way to ask you some questions or to send you some comments ??

PS : I'm asking because I posted two questions regarding Orcs Brutes ( https://warhammerarmiesproject.blogspot.fr/2017/09/warhammer-orcs-goblins-9th-edition-out.html ) and skaven warp linghting cannon ( https://warhammerarmiesproject.blogspot.fr/2016/06/skaven-8th-and-9th-ed-updates-out-now.html )
But I'm not sure it is the best way to do...

    1. You can either comment on a post, or use the contact form on the right side of the page.

About the Brutes, they are essentially a unit of bosses and not something you are likely to be running in large units. You can choose to place them on either 25mm or 40mm bases, 40mm bases makes them harder to flank and kill with template weapons for instance, so it's not all bad.

As for the Warp lightning cannon, this one will be patched in the upcoming update.

  11. Are Khalida and Khatep receiving their new mounts from TWW2?

    1. I don't really have any plans for that at the moment since there are no models for it and they did not have that option in the army books.

  12. hello mathias,
    we´re playing 8th ed.
considering the flamespyre/frostheart phoenix, the flamespyre is to expensive and the frostheart too cheap. flamespyre should be around 200 pts and frostheart 260 pts. 240 points for such a formidable mosnter is a joke. why should i ever choose a flamespyre? for wood elves, the trueflight arrows are pure cheese. you can´t hex archers and can´t hide units behind cover. its´s kinda of a no brainer with their new MARKSMAN PROWESS rule, specialy when it comes to waywatchers. ignore penalties for moving, stand and shoot and log range is fair enough.
    thanks for your awesome work

    1. Thanks for your feedback, I will add these to the fix list.

    2. flamespyre should be immune to flaming attacks and frostheart immune to ice based attacks.
      channeling for disciples of khaine!?!

    3. Will add that, thanks.

Right now, Disciples "channel" by inclficting wounds to cast their spells.

  13. Question about Dragon Princes: I know they don't ride them anymore, but can/will you include rules for dragon mounts, in case we want to run scenarios from the High Elves past?
