Warhammer: Albion 9th Ed 1.22 out now!

Updated to 1.24:
  • Fire pots upgrade costs 10 pts.
  • Bonegrinder Giants cannot throw rocks.

Updated to 1.23:
  • You do not need to buy tribal affiliations for all units if one is chosen.
  • Chariots may take shields for +3 pts.
  • Added shield option for hunters with javelins.
  • Added upgrade to throw rocks for Giants and Bonegrinder Giants.
  • Fixed multiple minor bugs and spelling issues.

This update changes the following:
  • Models with War Fury suffer an additional -1 to their Leadership when taking Break Tests. This applies in every turn, but no longer stacks, making it easier to keep track off.
  • Added note: Shieldbearers should be placed on a 40x20mm base and add +2 to the Unit Strength of any model mounted on them.
  • Finian: Models with this special rule roll 3D6 for Panic and Break tests and discards the highest dice rolled.
  • Hunters have javelins by default, cost 8 pts. Can upgrade to bows for +1 pt.
  • Half Giants may take shields.
  • Cheaper light armour and musician option for Aonbarr Horse Warriors.
  • Mastodon costs 200 pts for Warleader.
  • Fenbeasts cost 38 pts. All upgrade options cost 3 pts.
  • Stone Thrower can choose to fire either rocks or fire pots if the upgrade is bought.
  • Updated Giant rules on par with WoC. You may take 1-2 Giants as a single Rare choice.

  1. Looks like you are doing good so far. Not that many factions left to cover. A thought came to mind: The Pygmies of Lustria are a minor faction. They might warrant a smaller codex than even the Firmir. Maybe they can be put in an allied force codex. Maybe, maybe not. But now I wonder, How do you intend to cover the rule books outside of army books? Anyway, good luck working on this. Stay healthy.

    1. Don't really have any plans for pygmies.

Other rulebooks will be released as expansions.

    2. Well, I hope you do figure out what to do with them. The have their own lore of magic and units. The idea of them surviving a skirmish with the other factions would be interesting. Or act as an auxiliary force for either Amazons or Lizardmen does seem viable. Maybe. By the way, after covering all of Old Warhammer Fantasy, do you intend to add "The Old World"? I know you included some units from Age of Sigmar. Do you have any plans for AoS codices in the future? Anyway, stay safe and stay healthy.

  2. Just two minor gripes.
-If Stone Throwers can now choose between firing Fire Pots or rocks then the upgrade shouldn't be free as there's no reason not to take it.
-Is the Bonegrinder Giant rules for Throwing Rocks exactly the same as the regular Giant? There isn't an explanation in the entry. Even if they're identical, maybe the Bonegrinder Giant should have a little extra range, being bigger and stronger.

  3. "In a time long before Man first discovered the secret of
fire, millennia before the first Elf learned the art of the
bow, a race known only as the Old Ones forged the
world. Legends tell of how they manipulated the ebb
and flow of magic to mould the land to their will and of
how they sowed the seeds that would form into the vast
forests that cover the world. The races of Dark Elves,
Dwarfs and Men were like children to them, whom
they nurtured and taught. It is said that even the great
Dragons were mere playthings to these godlike beings."

    Dark Elves?

    1. Will change it to just Elves, though that text is from official GW sources. Not sure why it says Dark Elves TBH...
