URAAA! Warhammer: Kislev Proper 8th ed update out now!

Finally! It took me all night (hence I am suffering from some really strong sleep fatigue right now, fun stuff), but I got it done! Well, apart from the reference sheet, which will be finished soon, currently trying to find the best way of making it (Word clearly isn't the best option).

Anyway, the Kislev book now sits on 131 pages, only beaten by Bretonnia in length. All in all, there are 2 new special characters, 3 new special units, and 2 new rare units, a new magic lore, balance tweaks, bug fixes and of course the whole thing is in colour.

Let me know of any oversights that are likely to have turned up due to the major reformatting and enjoy! I'll be getting myself some very well needed hours of sleep, followed by cake to celebrate!

Note: The book is currently only up on Scribd, as the file size was more than Issuu would allow (112MB)! I will work on making it into a smaller file size to the next update which will include the reference sheet.

    1. And that I will eventually! The only issue is that when I update the book by adding a new page, I would have to replace every page number. I think Kislev is pretty finished by now though, so I can add page numbers in with the reference sheet.

    1. Without numbers? Not sure what you are referring to there, there are still page numbers. And even more now, cause I finally got the table on contents to work!

Wait with printing it out a little while though, I've have a new update out soon that will fix a couple of bugs in it.

Glad you like it though :)

  3. First, I really like Kislev. The whole idea is beautiful and is done amazingly.
It's really hard reading it though. The large fonts with the mirrored letters is really annoying.

    Bugs I found so far...
Igor the Terrible's Tyrant special rule's ending:
"Igor has the Fight or Die special rule, but affects all friendly units within 12” rather than the normal 12”."

    1. Also, the BLIZZARD spell says at the end:
"The caster can choose to increase the range of this spell to by rolling an additional artillery dice."

It doesn't say how much range the spell is increased by.

    2. I actually like the cyrillic font myself, gives it more of russian Kislev look. At least it's only for the headings ;)

Fixed both bugs mentioned though, thanks!

  4. k will do thanks for the heads up i kind of noticed a couple of hiccups too i dident really look at the warbear points i have now lmao 90 pts !!!!!! i guess you meant 190 maybee i would say 170 almost the same as type opf beast as varghulf with the obvious diffs

bears ftw lol I want some checkists lol hilarious you die fighting or ill kil you lmao !!!!!!!!!!! so funny

great work and with so much work of course there whould be hiccups its bount to happen

one fluff i noticed was you have only +1 for the great bears save where as normal bears are 5+ i think you menat the great bear to be a 4+ save because its BIG

btw love the hag lore although miss the speaking to the spirit stuff

and awesome the priests can go on big bears woohoo

ill tell ya what i have for 2400pts when i have my list done

btw i was meaning page numbers they are a pain like you said and not needed and i always have to remove em in photoshop then blurb once i scobble them together for printing

    1. War Bear should be 175 pts, copy/paste error from the Urugan cannon.

There's a pretty big difference between 5+ and +1 though, the first give the bears a 5+ armour save, the second one improves the armour save of the rider. Since it's a ridden monstrous beast, all attacks are targeted towards the rider, the bear has no armour save of it's own in this case. It's like barding, in short.

Page numbers are rather useful though, if people intend to print the book, they are very good to have. Unless they just want the rules part, where it will probably start at page 50-something. But wouldn't it be easier to just print the whole thing rather than having to fiddle around in photoshop?
